Im 2 weeks away, from going overseas for a month, and preparing tanks as I get closer. Hopefully to minimise any issues when I get back, and make it simpler for the "Fishsitter".
After some reading here, quite a few threads actually , but there is one in particular kinda brought a lot of previous stuff ive read all together a bit for me
, Resource - Hanna CO2 Test Kit: My experience so far (and why you're probably not starting CO2 injection early enough)!
A few days ago on FB, Tom Barr also mentioned "Ficks Law"

SO, anyway, yes my flow is not the best, surface agitation not so great, and often have not the cleanest surface, Hence lots of googling new Lillypipes :) which landed me on Aliexpress, see ZRDR, Aquapro. these will have to wait until I get back...
I have removed all the fish, just a few shrimp in the co2 tanks.
In the meantime I have brought forward my Co2 2 1/2 hours, seems to be working. With a good outside shake, to get a degassed state my Ph drop is around 1.4, going by the Api colour chart.

Today was a WC and a weekly dosing, APT 1. (which is a little under, per the dosing calculator)
I will get the "fish sitter" to continue the once a week Fert dose, there won't be water changes its too difficult with the tanks being in rack, requires pumping in and out.
So hoping the extra Co2, will compensate for the continued dosing, without water changes. No fish, just a few Shrimp in the tanks.
The largest of the Medaka Fry, I moved into the Cube, with the others.
I am bit nervous what I will come home to,
Reading posts here has gotten me pretty inspired, will look at changing and trying some new things when I get back.

You may want to get some kind of cover for the one with the mystery snail. They like to explore. The tanks look great! I hope the clean-up won’t be too bad when you get back.

At the end of Sept, I'm going away for 2 weeks. So I'm interested in any tips you have. My advantage is that I don't have any fish, so if my tank sitter will just dose it a couple times a week and top off the water, I think I'll be OK.

I think taking fish out of the equation, is key, less variables. Im hoping then that things will just tick along, and any issues easy to manage later.
1 tank is pretty stabile now, the other I would be looking at increasing fertilisers if I wasn't going away.

Today, yesterday, and the day before, I sat and took a good 30 minutes to just look and observe my scape. Not to just relax but to notice if anything is wrong, or take in details that would otherwise be missed at a mere glance. I ended up trimming a couple of older leaves, nothing tedious by any means.

If you don’t observe your own scapes and just perform the maintenance, take that moment to relish your work.
