Journal 120 Dutch Ft. Yugang Reactor (Horizontal CO2 Reactor)

Just grow you a few panels somewhere with something on them. Then you can stick them as needed to whatever winds up being the Dutch entry
Next time 😆. For now, keeping it black. When this tank becomes the farm tank, panels will be on hand!

I didn’t think I was going to post the ugly, but what’s a journal without it? Algae phase is beginning now, diatoms showing up along with GDA. I will make no changes as I know it will pass. I’d like to thank @Burr740 for the ongoing support with nutrient help. Basically, I’m dosing his formula on Macros but add/front load 12ppm K. Micros are BurrAqua per directions. I’m still using the ARC prototype reactor but will either build my own @Yugang reactor, or be testing the ARC V2 reactor, this depends on Tommy though! I had a 20 gallon QT tank shoved full of plants and crammed them all in here. I can’t believe non of them melted, but you can see how pissed off they all are. Either way, the tank is progressing and will become the competition tank in 2025. I filled the tank with tap water, 9GH and 7KH and doing water changes with mineralized RO water as I type this. I’m sure the plants are freaking out 😆IMG_0253.webp
Here’s the 120, I guess I’m getting there, I refuse to touch the Velho in the center because it’s actually growing. Left and right sides need to be reworked, Difformis still converting, but liking the direction much better now. IMG_0249.webp

She breathes. This took much longer than I anticipated. I had to trouble shoot a leak but finally got it working and holding. Tractor Supply Co. had BDBS (It's always sold out here) and grabbed 4 bags. I'm going to wait at least 24 hours before adding the sand just incase this leak pops up again. I'm going in to fiddle with the Aqua Rocks Colorado @Yugang reactor tonight and see what she does! I also decided I'm not going to use the CoralVue on this tank. I'm going for a pure overflow mode with the reactor. I'm dusting off my American Marine controller as a fail safe and will manually log drop and times. I should also have the lights mounted tonight.

For my sump user out there. Should I run the sump with more or less water? Right now I'm just a bit lower than half.

What tank did you end up getting? Don't know if I missed it but am interested.

did it come with a mesh lid? Seen that the SR on brs came with one and that would be handy.
It didn’t. I will need to make one before I get the fish ordered. Tank is cycling so I have a few months before a I need it.

Not much is working out. Sigh. Snail population has exploded also. My wife is definitely over feeding with my new work schedule.
Sword is too left and close to the Natans, the Val isn’t doing it for me and the Taiwan lily isn’t working either. What to do…. Definitely lack the skills to make this easier.IMG_0287.webp

I love this tank, and especially the shape that looks really long and gives so much space to work with. Just beautiful.
Thanks Yugang. Wednesday is going to be a lot of work. Going to try and fix it.

The sword is starting to look SWEET. Move the limno more behind it. Is that 53b in the middle? Its blending in with the other greens behind it. Nymphoides is a winner, keep playing with location. Multiply the roraima. id lose the Hydrocotyle or whatever that is back left. Need a full bushy green right here. Youre right the val isnt working, maybe move it to the back between the lud red and limno. Too much is happening on the far right, the curtain plant is too wide and being against the glass makes a big dark spot instead of bright. Blyxa looking good

Just some thoughts. Its looking a lot better than you think it is

Move the limno more behind it.
I was thinking to move the larger sword chunk to where the first 53b is. But I would need something closer left towards the street. Which is a bit of an issue in and of itself. Should I move the Natans left along with the Limno moving left?

I can definitely drop the Penny back left, I just don’t have anything else bushy. I have Myrio Foxtail and Hydro Angustifolia, but that’s about it. What would you recommend back left?
