How do you like the FZONE light?
I like them. I don't have a high-tech planted tank. I have a Fluval 3.0 also. The FZONE lights have white, blue, red and green leds. Compared to the Fluval which doesn't have a green but has 3 shades of white. I'm not sure if that's good or bad for plants. The app works well. For about half the price of Fluval, they work pretty well. The brackets are different than the hygger wire which can be good or bad. On one tank they work well because I don't have a custom bracket to hold the light. My other tank has custom brackets so I used a wire one like hygger to mount it.

I do wish more promotion of Colin's products was happening. He's one of the first USA companies really focused on planted aquarium products.

Damn! Those are sexy lights @Naturescapes_Rocco . Every time I see them in a video, I'm tempted to drop the big bucks. If I hadn't already bought a WRGB2 Pro for my 4820, I might change my mind. The other thing helping stop me is, Nature Design Studio has been sold out of all sizes since the beginning of the year.

I’m currently looking at the Week Aqua Z400, in conversation with them it seems it’ll be the best fit for my setup. Not a lot of examples of it across the web though.
I assume you're talking about your new 120cm Tideline tank? I saw it was only about 16" tall, so a single 1200 L series would provide more than enough par and be much cheaper than the Z400 since 2 are recommended for that size tank. Of course, I don't know if they differ much in color presentation.

Yes the Tideline, still waiting on it to arrive so I’m not starting a journal until I have what I need.

So I’d agree with you and the L was my plan as well. However, I always lean towards an island style scape as it’s my preference and being that it’s a central style, any light towards the outer edges of the tank is wasted and just food for algae. The Z400 or even a 900 model of the others will give me 36” of necessary light for my typical setup. I realistically don’t need strong light from end to end if that makes sense. That’s my thought process at least, and Week Aqua was on the same page. It also has the app features etc.

Makes sense.

Here's an interesting survey of the different week Aqua model lines 🤔

I've read that it and it doesn't really seem to match what the lineup really is. It puts the L series ahead of the P series for power but it's the opposite.

Those look just like the Nilocg Prism light which was my guess based on your first photo.
the Prizm was built well after SB ‘s were and I’m pretty sure in an attempt to capture SB customers when the company took a turn and was sold off.

regardless both are great lights. The SB is just unmatched in my opinion.

My "other" option is a little fzone WRGB nano light on my 6 gallon. Colors pop like they do under my week aqua and it's just over some buce, bolbitis and some moss.
I have one of those on a 7 gallon UNS 30C and love it so far. It replaced an ONF Flat Nano that died on me. I'm thinking about getting a couple more for other nano tanks. The app isn't perfect but does the job. It was recommended by someone else here and I was able to get it shipped next day from Amazon.
