Finally got our basement done and will eventually move my waterbox clear mini 25 tank down to the basement. It has had ongoing issues with algae which I will update in my journal soon; but the direct sunlight is likely a factor.

Saw a recent video by MJ -

Which has a sunlight powered shallow tank which looked awesome.

I am planning to create something similar with a 60 x 36 x 16 (9 gallon) tank in the sunny living room area. I do plan on having a hanging light of sorts but will likely keep it low tech without co2 and a biomaster 250. The only other thing that I am sure of is to have a sand foreground likely with ADA Colorado. I am hoping to have less maintenance and more resistance to sunlight induced algae and height from out of water growth.

Would appreciate it if people can recommend some inspiration for what I am going for similar to MJs pondscape.

Thanks all

I will say those lights are not used by ADG anymore, thats an old tank. They have gone out of favor for price vs look and spectrum. Not a fan of any of the AI lights long term vs Netlea, Week Aqua or Kessil. As noted the fans are loud and they seem to fail after a year or two if you check reviews of the AI Primes on BRS for example.
