Horizontal CO2 Reactor - Yugang 鱼缸 Reactor

Pvc glued today. Waiting on Amazon to deliver 1/2” t’s so I can add a simple bypass to control flow with the cutoff valve. Still deciding best way to mount under the stand. Build shelf or just use some type of pvc adapter to attach directly to stand.
I may also add a simple level indicator.
 
Yeah I’ve been looking at the choices. Probably just do something simple. But have been debating installing a full shelf under the tank vs just some simple small piece of wood on one end attached with angle brackets that will let me attach the pvc mounting bracket. I also want to add a king power strip towards the top of the stand at the same time.
 
It’s barely going to fit under the stand as the collar and end cap and then connectors add some inches. I’m switching to 90 deg connectors like you did.

I also had to switch to 90 degree barbs with version 2. The vinyl would crimp at times with the limited space. I should have suggested this earlier.
 
I was reminded by a forum friend of the 'Go big or go home' meme, and naturally the concept so far is mainly pioneered by big tank owners. @RickyV with 1000 gallons holds the record.

But how about this 10 gallon tank? Will the future be with diffusors for these tanks, or would we gradually start seeing some small circulation pumps with small reactors? The reactor will bring 100% absorption efficiency, no bubbles escaping to surface and a predictable CO2 stability, no maintenance and unlimited lifetime.

If we assume a 10 gallon 20" * 10" * 12" tank, then a small 3.5" * 3.5" reactor would do the job. How about some cheap kitchen ware that we could buy online? @Unexpected was the pioneer for a big tank, who goes first for a small(er) tank?

Unfortunately I don't have more information. I took my acrylic pipe, explained what I needed, and after perhaps 10 tries found a tiny shop that could solve the problem with unconventional dimensions for the pipe and miraculously came back with this. (We don't have US style DIY outlets in HK, think of a street with 50 shops). The reactor may look nice, but I would have preferred a more compact design, a bigger tube diameter and indeed I would drill holes in the end caps.

Several members are building / have built horizontal reactors -- It would be great if someone could post a (online) shopping list.

Will just go on the end of the pvc. The result of this is that I run out of space under the tank. My tank is 48” and I was starting with a 36” pvc so you’d think it would easily fit, but not so easy.since I also wanted to do a bypass and of course there is lead tubing before the c02 injection via a inline diffuser. All of this adds up. The solution is to use 90 degree connectors at the end caps. This should fix the space issue.

I am currently building one for a 27 gallon .. the ends will be removable to allow for cleaning etc if needed.. putting it together this Friday eve..

22 inch long pipe. 1 & 1/2 inch diameter ..

If you get something like this that is tapped with size of your tubing then you can easily add connectors to plumb it in.
 
Pvc end cap with threaded tap. I use 1/2”. Bigger tanks might need 3/4 if they have a big filter. You want to match it to your size tubing. I bought mine at Home Depot. Any plumbing supply will have them. It’s a very common part.

I can't find this online any where am in uk.. am using 1 & 1/2 pipe.. 😢
 
I think it’s called a reducing bushing
Do you have grainger, Home Depot, Amazon?
A nearby plumbing supply store ?
If you shoe them the pic they will immediately know it.
