Garden style aquascape? Judging criteria

To continue driving this forward, here is what I think we have currently as judging criteria:
  • Submissions divided into say 4 tank sizes - what should they be?
  • 4 points for each distinct color (obviously larger tanks can have more possible colors)
  • 3 points for each distinct leaf shape (think black and white version of tank)
  • 1-10 points for Originality and impression of layout work
  • 1-10 points for Overall composition and planting balance
  • 1-10 points for Overall plant health
What do you all think? How can we improve the above from a judging garden-style perspective?
I think you're just encouraging as many species as possible with the first two criteria, rather than attractive groups of plants. If I could take a whack I might rephrase them like so:
- 1-10 points for contrast of color and texture

Thanks. Revised.

Anyone else want to take a stab with comments or suggestions:

Welp, here's another reason why this garden-style contest may be needed. @Cheattha Sae-Teaw's beautiful tank ends up with a very low ranking?!?

I send this tank in contest and it disqualified not entry to the contest
So I ranking and scoring by myself!😜
Just for fun😀
WTFAC it’s from “Worth To Fight Aquascaping Contest “

Call for Aquascaping Contest Committee members. I am going to be working on this over my holiday vacation and want to start moving forward with this. As was said originally by someone, this cannot be a one man effort to bring it to reality successfully.

If you would like to lend a hand with the efforts, please let me know so that I can add you to the Aquascaping Contest Committee and give you permission to see a new forum where we will discuss the development and administration of the contest.

Thank you and hopefully, we will produce a well-received, engaging and valuable contest.

I can help

You know, after all these years Dutch Style still baffles me. I get the general idea of it, but every time it is brought up in conversation people talk about strict rules and whatnot, but I haven't really seen or read what exactly these "strict rules" are and to this day I wouldn't be able to put a tank together knowing that I am following the true Dutch style.

Having said that, I like the criteria so far but would really like to have at least a somewhat clear definition as to what a Garden style tank would be in the ruleset.
