We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Garden Style Aquascaping Contest for 2023!

    Mission

The mission of the contest is to celebrate and promote the beauty of garden style aquascaping. Sometimes called Dutch-inspired, fruit stand or flowerbed, the garden style has been gaining in popularity over the years with its unique and color impact and the skill necessary to execute it well. However, it has been underrepresented in the current aquascaping contests when compared to more established styles like nature aquarium, diorama and others.

    Important Dates

    Contest launch -January 1, 2023
    Entry submissions -February 1, 2023 - April 15, 2023
    Results -May 15, 2023

    Details and more information

The GSAC is completely free to enter and is open to everyone around the world. Best of Show will receive a trophy. First, second and third place winners will receive ribbons.

Please see the Garden Style Aquascaping Contest Detailed Guidelines for more information.

We ask for your support by helping us to spread the word about this contest to your networks, clubs and social media. Thank you from all of us at ScapeCrunch!

I'm happy to announce that the first annual GSAC is now officially open for entries!

Please click on the "Enter GSAC" button in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Fill out the form completely and submit your entry.

The submissions will close on March 15, 2023.

Good luck everyone! We would REALLY appreciate it if you can spread the word of this on other forums, social media, etc.

    Hi -

This is not true Dutch. It is ā€œDutch-inspiredā€ so the strict Dutch rules don’t apply.

You can use hard scape as long as it is clear that the plants are the main show.

    Hi Norbert,

We extended the submission deadline in order to get more entries. The results will be some time this summer. Thanks for submitting!

Announcement of the winners and a reveal of all contestants will be this weekend. Thank you to all who participated.

Will this contest will be something permanent going forward?
Honestly, we need to see after the results are announced and decide.

It's proven to be a LOT of effort on a very small number of people. We may put it out for a vote and see what the demand is. If the demand is there, we would love to continue to promote this beautiful garden style.
