When the plants get taller, I’ll take some photos to show what I’m seeing. Not every plant has a contrast issue, but I could probably try to shade it a bit more to have it look darker. I see why they go with darker mosses most of the time.
The non-green plants like the cabomba furcata and pogostemon look great against it. But it could be difficult to have good contrast while not overpowering the scape with reds.

I don't have a suggestion, I have tried lighter plants on a background and haven't made it work for me before. But if anyone can figure it out, it's you

I should know in about a month. Moss will be the backup plan.

Hmm, just went back and brightened the photo. I'm thinking the Trip is going to be too iffy. I zoomed in on some areas and you can't even define the plants that are green.

Maybe try changing up your light settings for photos. I’ve been playing with different bulbs to make the greens less yellow in photos in my tank. Different combos look way better in person. I’m still working on the camera bit too.

This is good advice, but I'm worried honestly. Is it worth the struggle?

No idea. Was just thinking of less work to get the look you’re going after.

I’m looking at different mosses for walls myself. Java moss is done by everyone so I wanted to be different. You picked the one I was looking at too!! Guess I’m not dumb at this after all

Price price price! And they are saying it has a decent growth rate.

APF has a sale on Fissidens Nobilis and buy 2 get 1 free. Would you think this would be a good moss wall choice?

Fissidens varieties look great on a wall. Just plan on buying a boat load of it to begin with, because it tends to grow out towards the front of the tank instead of creeping sideways to fill in. When you start it out you'll want to cover most of the surface area. I wouldn't go over about an inch of bare areas between patches, the less the better

But you do have plenty of time and can always wait til the first trim and use the trimmings to fill in the blanks

Does look awesome, this is Fox

Yeah, that looks awesome.

My perpetual struggle is finding a moss that looks lush and fills in quickly, but doesn't require constant trimming or infest the rest of my plants.
My wife and I call it “the infection.” Which has already begun as I bought some weeping moss to try.

Good to see the Bows!

Kamaka, Praecox, and maybe a young Goyder River? What else are you keeping?
As for rainbows, that’s it. I had harlequins and lemon tetras from older tanks and I have a group of gold laser Cory’s.
Funny thing, when my Kamaka were in QT, they bred. Just sold 20 to my local fish store. Might try it again!

Oh, 3 Boeseman.
