Saturday i will be attending the Michiana Aquarium Society Club Picnic. We ordered fish from a semi local fish store, got a plant donation from Florida aquatic nurseries and are providing pulled pork. Sunday is planted tanks day and i have to switch my layout for the 180g dutch and then plant a bunch of bee plants i plan on getting this weekend.

Tearing down my tank.

I've been living the thing we all worry about when we travel. Slow leak started while I was 1000 miles away. Eeeek! I noticed it on my fishcam. 10 year old tank, petco steaming pile of a tank stand.

Last spring I said "these 10 year old seams are looking pretty scary, I should get a new tank next Fall". ...sigh....

Today I got the last of the gravel out, and managed to get the tank off the scary looking water damaged stand.

Thanks. Really glad I have the cameras (3 wyze cams on when i am out of town). I think I might invest invest in some water leak sensors for the next tank.

This. I’ve decided to invest myself due to my own error in the past with forgetting to shut off the water when refilling. I detailed that horror in my journal. I luckily didn’t cause any permanent damage but it was as close as you could get to that consequence.
