Hello all. In my basement i have a 5 stage ispring RO system that feeds a 55 gallon plastic rain barrel. There is a float valve that controls flow and a secondary sensor as a backup shutoff mechanism. Within the barrel I have a hygger submersible pump and associated hose used to fill tanks. There are also 2 submersible heaters, and a power head for circulation. I remineralize with APT Sky to a TDS of 100-120. I use a full barrel to do water changes on my previously existing tanks. Well, that certainly changes my thoughts on the RV water storage option. I was hoping that only using RO meant no maintenance would be needed. Guess I'm on the hunt for food grade 55 gallon drums and I won't have the water storage as hidden as I was hoping for.

This is my setup.
I fill the tank 2 days before the waterchange and heat it up 1 day before.
There is always 20% water left in the tank so i have a small filter running with uv light at the bottom 24/7.
I have a tds meter before and after the di. I only dont have a stop for the filling so sometimes im a little late and the tank over flows
But its in my garage and there is a drain under the tank
