Looks great. Are those Seiryu rocks? I am interested to see the steps and maintenance to keep these free of the green discoloration (algae) and how it affects the KH/GH. Thanks for starting this.
Yes, they’re technically called mini landscape rocks in the shop here. I usually use Clithon sp. snails , they help a bit with keeping the rocks cleaner. Leaner dosing seems to make a difference too, mostly relying on nutrients from the substrate and keeping light levels lower. With these rocks, I always use RO water, since adding Co2 can raise the KH quite a bit as the stones are slowly dissolving.
I'm assuming you hand picked those stones. Amazing character. Would love to get some like that.
Indeed hand picked out of many different store visits over the years.

Time for the first trim and a good lily pipe cleaning.

It just dawned on me that you're the Nigel Aquascaping that I've been getting page recommendations for on my Facebook feed recently. I had checked out your Youtube channel but saw no new content. I went to your FB page and thought "Wait a minute, this all looks familiar." 😁

Beautiful scapes! I especially like this one:

Thank you! Yes, I took some breaks over the years. I really loved making videos, but they’re very time consuming on top of aquascaping and maintaining the tanks. I do miss it sometimes but I think taking photos is a nice sweet spot for me now.
