Looks great. Are those Seiryu rocks? I am interested to see the steps and maintenance to keep these free of the green discoloration (algae) and how it affects the KH/GH. Thanks for starting this.

Yes, they’re technically called mini landscape rocks in the shop here. I usually use Clithon sp. snails , they help a bit with keeping the rocks cleaner. Leaner dosing seems to make a difference too, mostly relying on nutrients from the substrate and keeping light levels lower. With these rocks, I always use RO water, since adding Co2 can raise the KH quite a bit as the stones are slowly dissolving.
