We are ScapeCrunch, the place where planted aquarium hobbyists come to build relationships and support each other. When you're tired of doom scrolling, you've found your home here.
I'm curious if you've seen what Echinodorus 'Pink Miracle' looks like with fully submersed growth? There are so many newer red and pink sword cultivars out there, but all the stores that sell them only have pictures of the emersed growth and it's hard to find hobbyist pictures.

I am debating, so many swords with no info like Pink Miracle, Indian Summer, Red Flame and Rose from Dustin's as he tends to acclimate them to being submersed. Fingers crossed red flame will be on the smaller side. I have 2 of the Rose and its mostly acclimated with shades of pink and red on new leaves.
This is the way it looks this morning. No overhead lights yet, but hopefully soon. I’m going to move the other fish in today and finish the lid, and clean up the room because it looks like a hurricane came through, lol! Then I need to at least do water changes and minimal maintenance on the other tanks.
Cabinet Mount Light Hanging Stand (Single Arm) is flexible to accommodate user’s set-up preference as it can be mounted sturdily on the SIDE or REAR of cabinet (depending on your light model), with either LEFT or RIGHT configuration. Key features: Easy to install Simple, elegant yet versatile...
I’ve been adding info as I went along, but now that the new tank is pretty much finished, except for growing in and probably hanging the lights down the road, I want to put all of the initial info in one place. I think this will be a long post, and have some surprises.
Inspiration
Very loosely modeled on George Farmer’s Highline 400.

Why did I add CO2, and why am I using a Cerges? Because I had 2 5-pound CO2 tanks, an old Cerges, and the regulator just sitting in storage now, so I thought “why not use them?” I don’t want to change the tank out constantly though, so I am keeping the CO2 around 10-12 ppm. So now it’s a Middle Energy tank, lol!

Some pics after all of that:
Thanks for reading!
BTW—how do I change the title of this thread, and edit the first post to link to the beginning of this new tank?
No idea how to do the linking, but to edit the title go back to the top of the thread and you should see three periods next to each on the top right side looking like this "..."
Click that and drop down allows you to "edit the thread" which allows you to change the title.
Those lights are really making this tank pop, nicely done!

I have the 3 periods, but no option to edit on the drop-down.
Thanks! I do like these lights, but it will be better when I can hang all 3. Right now if I look at the whole set-up straight from the front, I can’t stop seeing a face, lol! I’ve spent enough now though, so it’ll wait.
I love your new title!
It makes me laugh because years ago @Burr740 had a journal that was something like, 120gal (now with 25% less water) or something like that. Yours reminds me of that one.

Lol thats when the 120 gal blew a bottom seam (in the middle of the night!) and I replaced it with a 75 gal, didnt like that 24" height as much as I thought I would. Hence the amended title "Now with 35% less water volume!!" Which technically shouldve said 38ish% but that didnt exactly roll off the tongue

I spent the last few days fixing the light situation, both the hardware and the settings. It looks so much better to me. It does look better in person than in the photos though.
I found this:
I broke the flimsy corner brace while putting it together though. The seller agreed to send me extra braces, but I just wasn’t confident it would hold up. Realizing this looked like the aluminum extrusion that @Minorhero is using, I searched that and found these braces:
These are very sturdy and made the light stand feel sturdy. It only came with 2 light hangers though, and I wasn’t terribly confident about those either, so I completed the setup with these:
Here is the final result:
In person, the background is slightly more blue, and blurple is less pronounced.
