I love them too. Had a wild pair back in the day in a 55 gallon tank. They never left each others side. Watching them was a joy. The way they deferred to one another was amazing.

So you have a lidless aquarium with a cat? Have you had any issues? I would love to have 1 or 2 cats but worry about having them in combination with lidless aquariums
Is that anubias in the midground, or Schismatoglottis prietoi?

Always have had both. My cats are only really interested in drinking from the tanks. Not molesting the fish.
This is the first time she took an interest. No harm done then or since. Only danger is water damage. They are messy drinkers.
It’s the latter. Was one little pot. It just keeps growing. It’s better with roots in soil. If you use it as an epiphyte it’ll grow long roots into the substrate. Better to use Anubias and Bruces on wood and rock.

I thought I had found a journal I hadn't seen yet, but it seems I've "liked" some of the pics. So it seems I'm just getting old. I really enjoy the scape. My skills aren't so great. I hope to work on them this year. I love it when I see the beginning of a scape and I'm thinking, I don't see how those rocks or that wood will work out, and then something cool comes out of it, as in this case.
I haven't gone back through this "new" journal I've found completely, but I had one question. At the beginning you say one of the plants you are using is "Schismatoglottis." When I Googled it, I get some terrestrial plant. Is there an aquatic variety? I'm trying to figure out what you used.
@Naturescapes_Rocco at the beginning (only because I just read it because I'm a moron... see above) he said he was using Crypt. willissii. Not sure that is what that is. Its a guess though.

Sorry for not replying sooner, it's been a bit hectic. I'm going to try and participate more. The scape has become overgrown. I've not had time for maintenance. But I quite like it and it's got to that stage where it's more or less self-sustaining - top-ups, the odd water change, fertz when I remember.

Massively neglected, but I like it wild 
The fish have gone native. Whenever I go near the tank they disappear.
I hadn’t seen my Rams in ages. Suspected they’d died. But I saw them today, for all of a minute. Bright colours fins erect. Then they disappeared too.
It’s why there’s no sign of life except plants. Maybe I’ll trick them into a photo opportunity later.
