I finally have an estimated shipping date for the new aquarium. It won’t be until the end of February. I told them I wasn’t happy about 4-6 weeks turning into 14-16 weeks, so they gave me a $50 credit. I haven’t looked yet to see if there’s anything useful and inexpensive there to use it on. It’s tempting to cancel the order and just get one from ARC, but even with their sale the price would go up several hundred dollars. I hope I can get the tank in shape quickly after it arrives! I should be able to cycle it almost immediately by using filter media from the 125 gallon, so there’s that.
You just got notified today? I didn't get a notification yet but assuming my timeframe is the same, I might just cancel my order even though I was in no rush to receive it. I realize there are delays for stuff from China but 4 months is bad, especially when they charge at time of order rather than time of shipping.

Edit to ad: There's not much else on their site I would want other than the tanks.

I only got a time frame because I emailed and asked for it. I had to go on a waiting list of people requesting time frames, and then wait a couple of weeks for an answer.

I just emailed them a bit ago. Maybe I should pull rank and email Jess at Waterbox directly since I corresponded with her for my interview last summer. 🫤 This has been one of their issues for the last year though, slow shipping. Not sure how much is their fault or the fault of just all items shipping from China but it's a bummer because the tanks are nice and their prices are great. The price of the ARC tank, even at the sale price, is still just as high as ADA and UNS. Hopefully you live close enough to ARC, you could pick it up, but for me, shipping is an additional $400 😯. I might cancel and consider a Landen tank which would only be a couple hundred over the Waterbox shipped from Amazon. And I do see that the 120P is indeed 12mm.

I’m glad you said that! For 19.99 Amazon will deliver it to a room of my choice. That will save me a couple of hundred right there, plus it can be here in a couple of days. I think I’ll call Waterbox tomorrow to cancel.

Waterbox responded to my email this morning saying my tank is scheduled to be shipped between today and the 27th so I'll give them a couple more weeks.

I hope it comes soon for you! They provided a refund to me without any argument, and my Landen tank should arrive this Sunday between 2 and 5 pm. 😃

A great read. Well done on such a successful first Dutch scape, it turned oit amazing!
I love your fish room, and your variety of tanks.
Is that shrimp bowl and light a combo set? I am tempted to set one up!
Thank you! Yes, that was a shrimp bowl. I really liked it. It wasn’t much work, but doing maintenance in that corner was so awkward.

The new tank has arrived. Believe it or not, it’s taken me 90 min to get this far on unpacking it. I’m sure you guys would be a lot quicker! It looks to be in good shape, although I can’t say for sure until I can fill it. The delivery guys were nice, but they basically rolled the crate getting it into my house, and there was a heavy, unsecured box inside it that was banging around. I’m relieved that there are no scratches or obvious cracks. I might have to wait until my sister and her husband are in town to get it on the stand. I have some suction cups, so I hope that will make it doable.

I was wondering how that $20 fee would work out. I would need mine moved to the basement, but Amazon states unboxing is not included, so I assume I would have to unbox it while they waited.

Mine went to the basement too. They weren’t willing to wait while I unboxed it. I can’t blame them. It took me a long time. They said just return it if there was something wrong. Of course, that would mean getting it back up the stairs, and I destroyed the crate while getting all of the panels off.

So they were able to get it through doors and downstairs while it was still in the crate? Perhaps you have an exterior entrance to the basement? I was expecting the crate to be maybe 30" wide or more.
