Looking good man! Your moss looks wonderful and clean!
Thank you, I must confess I’ve had moss in the past but it always seemed to get infested with algae. It’s growing like a weed right now and it’s fluffy as anything.

Tank was neglected for 2+ weeks due to time constraints. A few hours of trimming and gravel Vac’ing did the job. For some reason today the fish are not happy with the CO2 levels. I believe it’s because I had it off the past couple days keeping the tank dark until I could do the maintenance to keep algae from getting fed.

My Hygrophila triflora is going bonkers. If I remember correctly, I initially received 8 stems. After this past trim session, I made a nice bundle of 12 stems that I couldn’t fit anywhere.

I can’t remember which thread it was, but I recently saw @GreggZ had mentioned he does a burst of high PAR during his light cycle in order to manipulate his plants to produce good color. I also participate in this practice and it works quite well. I think it’s a good way to get the colors but also limit algae as much as possible. I think the best way to test this is within 1 hour increments. If after a few weeks you notice positive results, push another hour of higher intensity. My tank ramps from 0-80% on my Twinstar S II within 30 min starting at 12:30 PM. It then ramps to 100 by 3PM, and continues until 6PM. Returns to 80 and lights out by 9 after a ramp down starting at 8:30. I have kept it this way for a couple months because I have had good success but I’m thinking of extending it an extra hour.

Just started trying this. Just 1 hour mid light schedule.

Be sure to post results I will be interested to see what changes if any you notice. Like I have said, some plants respond very quickly. Some take a bit more time. But I am guessing you will begin to notice more color in general.

The Hottonia Palatruis is the first responder and is loving it. It literally exploded in such short time.

Alright so I planted both TC of the Crypt Flamingo (clear cup) and Crypt Sindoor (green cup). I keep reading that the TC varieties can struggle to take off so I put them in dedicated “pots” with some fresh Amazonia to give them a good start.

If the Sindoor stays similar in color to what it is now, I think it’s going to be an awesome variety to have. Anyone interested in trying it, I’ve only found it on BucePlant in TC form. It seems to be in its infancy to the market.
