Hello,

I am using 16/22 mm steel lily pipes on this 60x40x40 tank with an Oase biomaster 350. I find the flow to be too strong. I have previously used Glass lily pipes which has a much gentler flow due to the shape, but these steel ones just have a Jet like effect.

Other than just decreasing the flow on the Oase, are there other things that i can do to make the flow more gentle with the steel lily pipes (don't want to go back to glass or try acrylic or add hardscape at this point. There is an inline Co2 as well) ?

Thank you.

I find that even with my acrylic lily pipes, angling the outflow toward the glass a little helps break up the flow around the tank a little. Also, rather than adjust flow at the Oase itself, I use inline dual valve couplers on both the in and out sides and adjust flow of the coupler valve on the output side.
