I am contemplating setting up a Netlea prefilter (large, half sponge) as the primary biological/mechanical filter. I am inspired by @Naturescapes_Rocco 's infinite vacuum setup and intend to use quick disconnects in order to use a separate intake as a substrate vacuum. If anyone has experience with using a brand of disconnect that is compatible with the Netlea disconnects that come on the prefilters, please share your experience. I'm not keen on the idea of spending $30 on an additional set of Netlea connectors when I would only be using one additional connector.
