7:30 PM. Half hour ramp up, ramp down.

10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Half hr ramp up, ramp down…

Not likely to try extending to 12 hours…

Here in Maine being rather North, Daylight is 15 and a half hours around the solstice.

Looking at plants in lakes and such around then shows lots of algae covered plants…

By mid August they are looking better.

It doesnt relate to the fresh water side but the Pacific Sun Pandora Hyperion LED lights for Saltwater have a programming option of downloading pre-programmed PAR scenarios from all over the world. Its an active community that collects weather patterns, data, sunrise sunset, sun intensity etc from all over the world. You can get exact realtime metrics for say Tahiti, Polynesian Islands, India, Great Barriar Reef and so on. In essence while your sitting there enjoying your reef tank you are in that part of the world.
