Does anybody else find it insulting when computer programs on websites make you prove that you are a human being?

I just find it so ludicrous that programming and electrons are challenging me to prove I am a human being.

I mean it would be one thing if a human being was issuing a challenge… and I was interacting with a human being…. But I am being challenged by a computer bot to prove I am not a computer Bot!

As a general rule I usually just say screw it and go find another source for the information I want. The ludicrousness of the whole situation bothers me that much…

Prove that I am human? Sure. I will prove it by showing my annoyance and fickleness…. My independent streak refusing to bow down to the computer overlords. I am such a rebel…. Born to be Wild!🤪

I call on you to join the rebellion and overthrow the tyranny of the dark forces…

If you knew what they were preventing/protecting, you might be happy that those "are you human" checks are in place!
Quite honestly there are days I am nearly ready to log in to every account I have a password for and delete them all and to erase my digital presence and just abandon the internet altogether…

The pictographs are bad enough.

The foolish warped letters for ing nonsense words are worse…

I have seen typing in four different nonsense words before the computer decided I was dense enough to be a human
