Thank you so much!!! @Minninips

- did you get the evaporation cover ? Is that of any use

- is this just staying on the glass or is there holders ?
No problem! I originally intended to get the evaporation cover, but @Koan educated me that there needs to be an air gap all the way around so I don't gas my fish, so I opted to just save a few bucks and keep it open.

The perimeter of the lid is cut about 1/2 of the thickness of the material, so the lid sits on the glass, but won't go sliding off. There's a little bit of play in each direction (maybe 1 mm or so if I had to guess). I can take a picture when I do my water change tonight.

Remember that Kraken Lids' primary market is marine and reef keepers , who

1) don't pump CO2 into their water, and
2) nearly all have sumps.

More than enough O2 gas exchange to / through all the mechanicals in a saltwater sump 💯💯👍

Thanks @Koan @Minninips so if i understand correctly then the mesh should be left open to allow gas exchange and that it should be OK without the evaporation cover.

Just take care to specify a mesh opening size fine enough for whatever size of jumping livestock you might want to keep 💯💯

Again , marine fish are typically orders of magnitude bigger than ours! 😅
@Minninips do you know what size your mesh are ? the website does not offer a mesh size ? Also is that a "Clear solid polycarbonate" additional cover ?
