ATO for rimmed aquarium?

Hello all. I’d like to add ATOs to my four rimmed tanks. I see kits available with the approx. 1” round sensor for the side glass. this will work great on rimless tanks but it seems like it would need to sit below the rim on a rimmed tank and I imagine that would keep the water level lower than I’d like. I imagine some sort of 3D printed hanger is needed to allow the sensor to be mounted at the appropriate height. Has anyone implemented an ATO on a rimmed tank and/or have any suggestions?
