Here’s something cool. Hygrophila triflora leaf tear undergoing dedifferentiation, becoming meristematic, and growing adventitious roots.

Update on the stems that grew from this little leaf tear. This is pretty common with the Hygrophila genus in general.









This is a technique that frequently used to create variegated forms of plants, since the process is known to have a high probability of producing variegation in new growth.
