I have a new ada 60p that I'm starting. Still deciding what kind of plants to put in but I will be using co2. I think I'm going for a dutch aquascape with very minimal creatures in the beginning. Maybe just some nerites to start then some corys and ottos with a couple of shrimp when the tank gets established. For now I'm just reading up what I can and reading your forum posts. Thanks for having me.
First tip: Nerites, or any snails really, don't tend to last long in CO2 injected tanks. It's a shame because nerites are great at helping with algae. Out of the many that I've tried in my tanks, I'm lucky to have had a few make it more than 3 months. I do have one in a tank that's still going after at least 5 months but it will be the last one.
Sorry to start off with that negative bit of info, but welcome. Lot's of great knowledge here. Will this be your first planted tank?
I have had a planted tank before but it just had a rotalla and no co2. It was a small 10 gallon with a betta that lived about 3 years with a couple of ghost shrimp and some nerites. Looking forward to any advice you can give!
Clithon snails are under the family of Nerites and are horned nerite snails. In general they do not like low pH (acidic) since their shells will get damaged/dissolved

Ah yes, I said "or any snails really." Didn't think about bladder snails, the cockroaches of the aquarium. That' is a bit mean. Some people do like their bladder snails.
