I regularly and have recently trimmed and replanted most of my plants. However with my H. Compacta I merely prune off the old leaves. These have thrived but have now just grown too large. Their stems on the bottom have leave less. My research states I can simply pull them up and trim the rooms off, replanting the lower stems into the soil.

Am I missing anything important? How small should I trim the “bush” part down before replanting?

These are my favorite plant and my tank is doing great. I don’t want to set everything off in replanting these.

All recommendations are welcomed.
