According to the API test, it’s giving me exactly a 1 pH drop, from 7.4 degassed to a steady 6.4. I’m skeptical of that though, because I put in a CO2 drop checker as a precaution and it’s just a lighter shade of blue, not showing even green. I’m going to leave it alone until I can get the Hanna kit and really check it. I put a few Ember tetras in there to keep it cycled, and I’ll just keep an eye on it.

@Kwyet, it's so cute! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

@Yugang did you ever weigh in on the "open flow reactor" terminology? I may have missed it.
I like the name Open Flow Reactor.

CO2 Spray Bar sounded good for my original designs, but for what we are doing now Open Flow Reactor seems to be a better name.

I tried to change the title of the thread, but unfortunately that was not possible.

My Hanna CO2 checker kit finally came in. It measures 9.5 ppm in my 7 gallon tank with the Yugang Open Flow Reactor. That’s perfect for me since I wanted 10 ppm to be able to run 24/7. I previously said it was set on 1 bubble per 9 seconds, but the regulator couldn’t keep that steady (it would be at 1 bubble per 15 seconds in the morning), plus it turned out I had a small leak, so I redid the mix and set it at 1 bubble per 4 seconds, still on overflow mode. The tank is doing very well, except for the Crypt Sindoor (not a big surprise). I love the Crypt Jwala! I’ll be taking the drop checker out now. I don’t think it’s necessary anymore.
