I recently posted a picture of an enormous piece of driftwood for sale on Belinda's Driftwood. I just wanted to give Belinda a shout-out here because I think her prices are pretty darn good, especially the low shipping cost. When she first thought about selling the driftwood she collected, she thought shipping cost would negate it being a worthwhile business, however, she discovered the secret to shipping driftwood cheaply, no boxes. She wraps the pieces up into a cocoon of bubble wrap and cardboard, preserving it's natural shape. The way shipping is calculated by dimension means it costs much lower than what it would be in a box large enough to hold it. I just ordered 3 pieces, ranging in length from 14 to 35 inches. Cost to ship was less than $17
. Granted, Belinda only lives about 2.5 hours from me but shipping is still lower than the cost of gas. She said the same package would be less than $40 to either coast. If you're looking for a stump, she has quite a few. Her FB page is private so you have to request joining, but I highly recommend checking it out.
