I haven’t posted here in a while. I’ve replaced some of the pants in my tank.
I’m starting to like this a lot better now.
Right now I'm dealing with cayanobacteria.
The lfs guy gave me a pack of Fritz slime out, so I divided that up into doses for my 5 gallon tank. Hopefully that kills it.
And after the cyano is gone the tank will finally be mostly algae free.

Hi Asher 👋🏼, tank is looking good these days. Keep up whatever you’re doing haha!

Cyano is exhausting to deal with, been there multiple times! Ive found I tend to get it when i have alot of exposed new aquasoil, but I wouldnt say that is the main reason. Once your plants grow out and spread, it should keep everything in check
I’m using Fritz slime out to treat it.
I did recently add some new apt aquasoil. And I got the co2 adjusted to 50-55 ppm, so now the plants should start growing better.

It's not easy. This takes time to "get" it and learn the "art" of it. And, you need to learn how each of your chosen plants react to it. So give yourself some grace to learn. Here is another good resource on Mastering the Beauty of Plant Clusters from ADA.

And, BTW, your avatar now looks like you're a much younger version of myself. :ROFLMAO:
Josh Sim, also has a guide trimming stems on his F/B page

I have a problem. I have too many pants for this tank.
I was at the lfs, I see plants I like, I buy them. I see a sale for plants online, so I look at them, I find ones I like, I buy them.
I end up with too many plants.
They all fit in the tank, but this won’t look very nice with this many plants all crammed together.

So now I have an empty tank. But I also have a spare Chihoros b series light, a nano hob filter and a pump.
So I set it up and add some aquasoil from my other tank to kickstart the cycle. (I will also add some filter media next time I open the filter)

Have you tested your PO4? Just curious if there is any in APT Feast.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this earlier. I tested the po4 and I didn’t see any. So it doesn’t release any.

The algae and cyano is almost all gone. And all the plants have been growing pretty well.
