Darn you Green Aqua!

I do enjoy the Green Aqua videos, but sometimes they are costly. A recent subject was terrariums. The dry desert-inspired design inspired me. With a couple of shallow 2ish gallon cubes collecting dust and too much time on my hands, there is a section of cacti and succulents on the way towards me in the barely capable hands of the USPS.

I loved that, too, although I have been known to have a bit of a brown thumb with cacti (the under/over-watering issue). Would much rather have that on my desk, though, than your typical potted pothos. Look forward to seeing how yours turns out!

To be fair, I have coco choir, max sea, etc, etc purchased due to discussions with you about Wabi Kusa and such. And, I haven't used any of it. So that ship has already sailed.

The base layer is UNS Santa Fe, a larger, 1-1.5" flatish stone for drainage.

The majority is comprised of Bonsai Jack Succulent, Cactus, Bonsai Potting Soil.

I added some stones and gravel from my ever-growing stock of stuff.

No, I found it frustrating as I have no clue what might work with what. The more dedicated sites have various collection types. Selected one collection each of cactus and succulents in the Easy to Grow Indoors aisle.

I've ordered a few books from the library to further my education.

Ah... normally I research more also, but any succulents I've grown have always been easy. Maybe I didn't get any fancy ones. I made this several years ago just ordering random stuff I liked online. It quickly outgrew this container. I thought they were slow growers, but in good conditions, they grow fast.
