Aquashella 2025

I’ve never been to Aquashella but I’m not too far from Dallas and would love to go! But … just tried to buy tickets and they are all sold out. It looks like they are available at the door but I can’t tell if there is a limited number of those. Has anyone just showed up and gotten in?

It was in May. I happened to be in Dallas and attended. I'd go again.

In another discussion a couple of us expressed interest in doing it next year. So if you think of it, start a new thread so we can try to remind each other.

Also, don't forget, the AGA is next year. It's in Sacramento though. I'm sure it will be worth the effort to get there.

I plan on attending the NJ event coming up. Is there any general tips I should know about comparing day 1 and day 2? I would figure any of the best pieces of driftwood/hardscape for sale will be snagged on day 1. Is there food at the event as well or should I expect to be in and out the door?

Cool. Yea day 1 is busier. There is usually one or two booths jammed full of wood. From what I recall it was all pretty uniform and I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Limited “food” usually. Nothing i would consider meal worthy.

I didn’t make any of the Aquashella events last year but ill be at this one, friday to sunday. Ill be at the scaping contest area most of the time. Stop over and say hi!

I splurged on the 2 Day pass so I could get in early. I'm glad I did, not for the swag, but to beat the crowds. Stepped out for some air about noonish, and the line to get in was literally around the block. In the morning, I was able to bop around from booth to booth and speak to people. In the afternoon, not so much. That was a good time to watch the aquascapers at work. Just watching, I learned quite a bit.

There were plenty of plants, fish, and shrimp for sale. Since I was away from home for another two weeks, I wasn't buying anything; was mostly there to learn.

If you are looking for deals, Sunday afternoon is the time. Vendors don't want to pack stuff up; they want you to take it home.
