I just put an order in for @Dennis Wong's new APT Feast substrate. I'm looking forward to trying it out as my ADA Aqua Soil is quite tired by now. Funny how excited I get to try a new aquarium product... Anyone try it yet?

As with all things 2Hr Aquarist, APT Feast is well thought-out and developed. Dennis even put together a very cool backstory of how and why it was developed - APT Feast: the pilots' view.

It's good to see them expanding their product offering. I will report back here with some pictures and test results once I have it.

If you want to try any of the 2Hr Aquarist products, be sure to click the link in our footer or use this link to get 12% off selected products. We do get a slight commission that doesn't impact your price but remember we are a public charity so it all goes to help cover our running costs.

Was just looking into this today after watching the conversion Jeff Senske had with Dennis Wong. Interview is about a year old, but Dennis mentioned developing their own substrate so I shot over to 2hr Aquarist to see if it was available yet. As I consider which substrate to use for my 40 gallon. Reason I'm leaning toward it is because it's supposed to release nutrients evenly over 12+ months. Since I'm planning on a long term set up for this tank getting through the first year honestly sounds pretty great. Now this evening I come across this post, so it must be a sign right? I'll let you all know if I move forward with it, that discount def makes it look even better.
