Let’s brainstorm some interesting ideas for next years photo/video contest. I’ll start.
Photo technique and tricks: photo where you used some technique, tip, trick, or hack to get an interesting photo. You also have to describe the technique you used when taking the photo, so we all can learn from it!
Video showing flow: video 10 seconds or less showing flow/movement in your aquarium
Over 18 video: video 10 seconds or less showing fish flirting/mating
Algae nightmare: photo of your tank experiencing horrific algae bloom, and describe what you think caused it or how you conquered it.
Photo editing : provide both original and edited (and hopefully improved!) photo of your tank. Maybe also describe what you changed in the photo (edited out equipment, cropped, changed contrast, etc etc)
Black and white: let’s see how our tanks look without color!
Lighting: photo where the lighting is what makes the photo really pop
