Waiting for plant orders

I've placed a couple of plant orders, and the APF one is taking it's sweet time, and won't be arriving til Monday.

Question: what's the best way to store plants i just received while I wait on APFs order to get here? The other two orders get here today and tomorrow, and i won't be planting til Tuesday.

Store them in a bin or water with a light? In damp paper towels in a bin? Other ways?

Here's what Dennis has on his website:

"If you plan to empty the tank but reuse your existing plants, the most common mistake is to store them by floating them in a bucket of water as shown above.

This is fine for a day or two, but risky as any deterioration can spread quickly and destroy the entire batch. The better technique is to keep them moist (the moisture of baby wipes, with no visible water droplets) in closed zippered bags and place them in a cool, shaded place (16-24 C) Even the most delicate plants can last a week this way, and most plants can be kept this way for several weeks."

I think I like that idea, and I think I remember seeing something similar suggested in a @Jeff Miotke video. Interestingly, Buce Plant’s FAQ suggests throwing them in a bin of water.

That is correct. Store them for up to a week this way. Most will be fine.
