Heard he said he used to do water changes 2-3 times a week for all his tanks for 12 years.
Damn that's an insane amount of consistency, I would only be able to do that if I set up the tank right next to the sink using a python hose.
I took offense to his comment that “water is cheap” I’m shocked Cali even allows him to do water changes with all their restrictions and laws. Water is not cheap by me I’ll say that much, you sneeze wrong and your bill goes up.
I enjoyed the video though, and I also enjoyed Dennis’ 2 part interview on that channel as well.

I also thought the info about his tanks in the garage where he does not do water changes interesting, Would be nice if he shows his tanks. There is an old youtube video of a tour of his tanks but guess he does not do that anymore.
Yah this was a good one, I had seen it a while ago. He had a nice set of videos with people like MJ aquascaping and the guy from Buce plant. Overall I felt the interview with Dennis was the best.
MJ did a recent tour of Jeff senske gallery which was pretty cool too. Wish we had a gallery like that in Ohio.

It's funny you say that because I'm convinced that the amount of success you have with a tank is directly proportional to how easy and convenient you make it to do maintenance. I've become kind of fanatical about having it super easy to drain and refill my tank because that's the best way to make sure I don't get lazy about water changes.
