This week I installed Eheim double taps before and after the CO2 reactor for the 68 gallon tank. The next morning, one of them was leaking from the levers. I removed it and replaced the tubing, so right now I have a double tap on the intake to the filter and a set between the filter and the reactor, but nothing between the reactor and the outflow.

Does anyone know how to fix this? The seller hasn’t replied. I don’t see any cracks, and there wasn’t leaking at any connection point, just from the levers.

It’s this one:

Thanks!

That doesn't sound good at all. Never had any leaks with Oase or UNS double taps. Were these the oversize double taps or standard 16/22? I'll tanke a look at how mine are built to see if there's an easy way to resolve such an issue. The lever is just turning a plastic ball valve, but I'm not sure how that connection is made.

It looks like the Eheim is constructed just like my Oase valves. Without taking it apart, I assume it is just a standard ball assembly that seats in a softer plastic conical assembly or perhaps does have a gasket it sits in. The lever should be a little stiff to turn indicating the seating is sufficiently snug to not leak. Otherwise I just assume there is some defect preventing it from sealing well.

Thanks for checking! The levers are a little stiff. They seem the same as the other ones that are working fine. Since it’s not working anyway, I may try to tear it apart later just to satisfy my curiosity.
