Holy crap that is beautiful.
My pics are usually dark. How do you get your pictures bright without the lighter areas being over exposed.
It’s all about the lighting. When the lights are closer to the water surface, the upper sections of the aquarium end up overexposed. On this aquarium, the lighting is positioned about 25 cm above the water surface. I also use two additional lamps when taking photos, which allows me to shoot with a faster shutter speed.

Bolbi,
I really like this style, reminds me of earlier ADA Nature Style, something im pretty keen to try in the future.
Re the Trimming, DAY 138
"The tall Eleocharis requires careful trimming with curved scissors. The plants are cut as close to the substrate as possible, in an irregular, alternating pattern – straight, symmetrical lines should be avoided. This approach creates a natural, "wild" look."
could you explain this please, not sure I fully understood, can't really visualise it :). also didn't realise you could cut it so close to the substrate.
Would Java Moss also work in this style ?
Thankyou
Hope this will help you to visualise it better.

This is viewed from above. The red area marks the trimming zone. It’s preferable to leave irregular clumps, and as you move toward the vanishing point, the Eleocharis should become gradually sparser and slightly shorter.

It looks much more natural than a uniform curtain (like on day 170).

Yes, Java moss would also work well here. There would probably be more maintenance with trimming since it grows somewhat faster and more elongated.

Beautiful setup! I was not expecting this to turn out so gorgeous from the original layout, especially given the flat tops of the wood.

Not sure if this was asked, but did you have issues with the glue killing some of the moss portions when you planted? Never seen black super glue...so I am quite intrigued. Where did you get it?

Excited to see the picture youre waiting for the right time to get!
If the glue is used sparingly, the damage to the moss is minimal. I got the black super glue from AliExpress.

Oh thank you, yes I understand now, great visuals by the way. really appreciate the share, too.
I have lots Java moss, the small clumps ive put in shrimp tanks, I find is a bit messy.
