What do you think about expired micro or iron fertilizers? I have EasyLife Profito and EasyLife Ferro that expired a year ago, and I'm using it. What can happen? Do you throw it in garbage or keep using it? I know it has something to do with iron chelation, but I'm no chemist.

And in general, how do you dose micro fertilizers. I know people meddle a lot with macro, Mg and iron. But the rest I was dosing according to the bottle label. Never experimented with that.

A lot of us use @Burr740's micro mix which is reported to have a shelf life of 5+ years.

If you decide to order a packet, he will send dosing instructions with your order.

Basically, you order a packet (I think the choices are 500ml, 1000ml or one gallon). You get your gallon packet of dry salts (most economical) and pour it into a 1 gallon of distilled water. You dose 2ml per 10 gallons 3 times a week for high light, high energy tanks.
