The theme for this month's contest is: Best Closeup

For clarity - Take a closeup picture of anything in your aquarium.

The rules:
  • Submissions are allowed between February 8 and February 19.
  • Ratings will start on February 22 at 12:01 am Eastern time.
  • Ratings will end on February 28 at 11:30 pm Eastern time.
  • Be as creative as you like.
  • Judging - you must rate each submission from 0-10 with 10 being the best. You will see the rating arrows/number to the right of each submission post when judging starts.

I kept Ottelia ulvifolia for a while. My goodness that thing is a MONSTER!!

How do you manage it? Eventually I had to let it go. It would fold over at the water line and creep across the tank blocking out the light.

haha yes, definitely not for the faint of heart. I keep pinching the tall leaves every month but in this tank I have a bunch of crypts down below so not too worried about the light. It's a beautiful plant and I cannot bring myself to get rid of it until more people have it!

And yes I got mine from Vin as well. Good to be living close to that guy ;)
 
I'm late to the show this month but couldn't resist adding a photo of this little guy trying to make his way up the lily pipe outflow. I think I can I think I can! He made it all the way to the bend before he couldn't hang on any more. 😁
