Hygrophila siamensis 53B - Great smaller size "big-leaved green" that every Garden or Dutch style needs. Bright green with long slender leaves, branchy plant that makes a full bush thats easy to shape however you want. Its about half the size of similar Hygros like corymbosa and siamesis, and its a lot more finicky. It needs CO2, clean conditions and either a rich water or rich substrate. Fun fact: Originally a Tropica cultivar, '53B' is the trial that wound up working. These are tops around 7-8" tall with a side branch or three

Penthorum sedoides* - One of the most versatile scaping plants in the hobby. Can be kept low almost in a carpet, or let it grow tall like a regular stem plant. Stays vertical and doesnt branch much unless you top it. Good 'street' plant. To keep it low just mow it down into whatever height or shape you want. Can go all the way down to the sub with it. NEW! Blyxa aubertii var. Roban - new to the hobby and still highly uncommon. It gets about 12-15" tall. The coloration is wild, Ive seen it stay mostly bright green under strong light, and also turn a really bright shade of brownish red, sometimes only the top half or bottom half of the leaves. I havent had it long enough to know its most likely tendency. Seems pretty easy to grow with co2, about like most Blyxa, self divides etc

Also appreciates a still surface, doesnt like getting swirled around much. These will come with a 8-10" stem, it can be planted but best to float as is. Itll make new side stems from the main one. Can also cut the stem off as the top doesnt actually need it

• If temps are extreme please make arrangements to bring the package inside as soon as it’s delivered. The biggest risk in extreme temps isnt the trip, its sitting outside after delivery!
• Free cold pack and extra insulation during the summer months, any time its mid-80s+ down here in north AL. They last about 24-30 hours and will help protect for the first half of the trip. However it is still critical to get the package inside as soon as its delivered
• We dont use heat packs. Plants dont need them and they actually cause stress. Cold temp is good, it slows and preserves - as long as the plants dont actually freeze. Typically that doesnt happen even with extreme temps. Most of the journey is on a truck or plane. Even unheated plants dont get THAT cold during the trip. *However! It is still CRITICAL to bring the package inside as soon as its delivered. Even an hour on a 19 degree porch can be a killer

Thanks for asking about this. Ive been waiting to list the ferts until retail packaging is ready to roll, that should be done in a couple of weeks. I dont have individual salts, like the MgSO4 you mentioned

What I have is the popular pre-mixed packs of both micros and macros to make your own solution. You just add the entire pack to your dosing container and mix using distilled or RO water

The micros has Fe DTPA+ Fe Gluconate + other essential micros, formulated for maximum absorption across a wide range of PH levels. Macros has NO3, PO4 and K. Suggested dose for both is 2 ML per 10 gallons 3-4x per week. Micros adds .15 ppm Fe per dose. Macros adds 4.7/1.2/5.5 per dose. Its the same thing I use

The gallon packs are getting popular with folks who've been using the Micros for a while. You jst buy a gallon jug of distilled water and make the mix in that. Then fill your dosing containers as needed from the gallon jug. It gets the price down to almost $10 for 500 ML

I've placed two different orders with BurrAqua and both were insanely great experiences. Joe sent VERY healthy plants both times, packaged properly. Since everything I've received was grown submerged, they transition in my tanks really well. Excited to show everyone what's grown, but I'll never want to buy from a big box store again after experiencing this kind of transaction!

Also get the UPS option. Tracking said two days, but it arrived in one day for a really really good price. Worth it (also thanks to Joe for sending cold packs with the plants in this heat!).

Since we are giving reviews i'll give mine. WHile i have purchase from him several (4? 5?) times over the years which predate scapecrunch existence right now he sucks because he doesn't have any of the plants i want available. So that is my 2ct.

I will of course consider changing my review once some of the plants i want become available.

Right, on page 2 I believe there's a detailed post how to do that. That plant doesnt care, I generally keep it one of the sand tanks with unaltered tap with KH in the 5-6 range. There's usually a couple dropped around in one of the 0 KH tanks as well. It literally doesnt care
