Honestly, I have never perceived a need for an app to control my canister filters. I subscribe to the the Rob Popeil school of canister filters…. “Set it and forget it…. Until it needs to be cleaned..
20 minute video…. Sitting to watch it to see if there is any feature I cant live without… but I seriously doubt there is…
$499.00…
Allows you to alter flow intensity from bluetooth app presumably by altering electrical input rather than throttling the flow. Also allows pulsing the output, and having different fliw at night than during the day..
Also a feeding feature to pause motor for feeding.
Filter alerts you in case of locked rotor or missing rotor.
I like the idea of altering the flow electrically as it would reduce electrical consumption….
App gives you visual graphical display of how much flow the canister is putting out which lets you know when it is time to clean the filter medis. Has an internal prefilter that can be cleaned without cleaning the entire canister filters.
Filter motor runs on 24 volt power, which is claimed to be safer and less risk of hazard to user…
So, some features of interest. Mostly the variable speed outlet of the motor and the 24 volt aspect.
A canister filter could easily be made with a dimmer switch on the housing and run on 24 volts without an app….
So far it doesnt seem to fit into the must have category for me…
