Showcase Hygrophila pinnatifida

I wa able to grow this emersed a few years back (it took over the tank), however since then I haven't been able to keep it alive (beyond a few weeks). Has anyone got any advice on how to grow this?

I have soft acidic spring water. One tank with co2, the others don't use Co2. I tend to provide a nutritious substrate and use lean dosing.

Hi @Onima1

I have it growing quickly in my low-energy aquarium. Light is low and the water is moderate hardness given the stone I have in my aquarium. I have to supplement magnesium.

I use @Burr740 macros and micros. Macros are front-loaded once a week and micros dripped daily.

All of mine are growing as epiphytes. Do you have yours planted?

It sounds like it does well in slightly alkaline or neutral water. Mine is quite acid with a Ph of 5 (ish). Perhaps, that's the reason. My water is drawn from a spring with the surrounding land being peat moorland. The acidity of the water can vary over the year (dependent on rainfall). Given most of the fish I keep are from amazonian blackwaters or areas where the Ph is low (and varies across the season) fish seem to thrive and I haven't had to remediate. Most plants seem fine with this.
