Who wants lights? Who doesn't want lights, everyone wants lights 😁😁😁

How about a 48" full WRGB for $108? Or 12" for $48, or 36" for $88?

A rebranded Micmol G3 Aqua Air, pretty slick to look at, and no fans.

(I know I know, yet another pic lacking water plants or fish.. in my defense I did spend the afternoon gluing hardscape for another tank start.. with the wrong super glue and the wrong cigarette filters 🙄🤦 Apparently cellulose acetate is a health hazard and you can't get them in the states anymore, who knew)

Anyway, what's the catch?

For some reason BRS is not offering the Wi-Fi module, so you have to order it direct from MicMol for $59 shipped. Works a treat! Got here in less than a week and Micmol customer support could not have been more helpful and responsive. Full four Channel support automation everything you could want.

Now this is a relatively modest unit, it's no Chihiros WRGB2 Photon Torpedo. But Photone measures 400 PAR at 4" to the surface, 80 PAR in air at 23".

For $167 for a 48" unit.

I'm just sayin.

enough spread front to back for a standard 75 gallon tank?

I do, given that I'm not seeing any fall-off in PAR at all front to back in my empty 13" wide x 20" deep, using the included standard legs that set the light 3.5" above the rim.

Again this is a medium-punch light and I haven't tested PAR in water, so it depends on how much oomph you're looking for at substrate. But BRS has good returns, 30 days cash refund less 10% restock or 365 days for store credit.

The Aquamaxx is light model G3 Aqua Air, I'm using the 1200.

You have the option of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth controller:

If you click on the tiny, tiny gray box for Options of Quantity or Options of Models, you get a radio button pop-up to choose how many pieces and to choose which model or series. Not the slickest sales page.

Support also sent this, with assurances that either or both of these will work with the light in the iMicmol app:

Complete with typos for authenticity lol 😄

I can vouch that the Wi-Fi module works great with the app for one light so far 👍👍 haven't used the Bluetooth or verified yet whether there are any app glitches when controlling multiple lights.

@Koan would you be willing to do a review on this one? Nothing fancy but I think it may be popular and people may appreciate the review from someone that has first hand experience.

I would be happy to!

But I don't yet have one running over plants, @SkaleyAquatics has one set up on a farm tank maybe they would be a faster source for review?
I do, been happy with the results so far. I need to get the par meter to see it's numbers. I could definitely do a review. Kinda sucks that we people will not be able to get them anymore however.

Appreciate you guys keeping us updated. I lose focus for a few months and new lights come out. Happy about that but hard to catch up on the latest.
