If y'all aren't paying attention to your local forecast, start now. In central NC where I am, snow is tough to forecast and often fails to materialize, but the weather models are in rare agreement right now that this could be a big one. It could still fall apart, but this is about as much certainty as we ever get.

I finally have a generator, so hopefully my tank situation will be less stressful than in the past. I'd rather not lose power at all of course... We shall see!

I'm also picking up a snow shovel. Been meaning to anyway
That just seems like such an incredibly odd comment to read with my eyes…

I have 3 generators, 3 kwhr, auto battery back up inverter power bank, 2 snowblowers 2 large snow scoops, dozens of snow shovels, portable gas cook tops, ovens that sit on top of portable gas cooktop, dutch ovens, charcoal, several zero degree sleeping bags numerous portable inverters… a few portable 23,000 btu catalytic kerosene heaters, etc, etc, etc…

Of course, I dont live in the Carolinas. Maine is a bit different….

Super lame…..

I am just south of @ElleDee . There is always a line between she and I where they get snow and we get ice. I am hoping we both get the snow this time. I don't want the ice, but that line is near and they never know exactly where it will be.

Bit of random trivia, this famous pic was actually taken just 2-3 miles from where I live in the direction where ElleDee lives. I'm hoping we don't repeat.

Ha! I shared a meme of that a few years ago when KC was prepping for snowpocalypse.

That's so funny - I also lived very near here in 2014, right off Glenwood and Edwards Mill. We had actually already closed on our house in Durham but hadn't moved in yet. I worked from home that day and I gave my husband a hard time for leaving his office before it started snowing, but he was vindicated. If he had waited he could have been one of the cars in the picture.

Good luck, everyone. Stay warm.

As a life-long Floridian, I don’t know much of the technical gadgetry you all have but we too use generators. Every location has something.

I would like to experience beautiful powder snow falling while it’s sunny and about 68F outside. It would magically vanish before it turns to slush. Any location where that happens?

Anyway, looks like we will be in the 80s this weekend. 🙄 Sooner or later, everyone ends up in Florida.
