For those of you in the US, what are your plans for Thanksgiving this week??

I’m on the road to the mountains of North Carolina for a nice change from flat Florida.

The wife is working and so I'm just going to Netflix and chill this year. It will be nice not to cook for once.

We’re going to try to find a restaurant serving Thanksgiving meal and go out with my sister and family. If that falls through I guess we’ll just play cards at our house and have Thanksgiving snacks. I LOVE not having to cook the meal or do major clean-up! 😆

I love to cook, so Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I'll start prep work in the kitchen tomorrow. @Art wave as you go by

A change is always nice. Sorry that she has to work but grateful to those that do so others can be off.

Some good stuff to watch on TV this year.
Work on wiring leds in my display cabinets, assuming all the parts get here in time.
OK so you definitely have to report on this afterwards. You going for just lighting or something cool with colors?

There was a time I wanted to put soft orange LEDs in the cabinet for accent lighting and paint the inside in racing orange. Never got around to doing it but I may bring this back up on my next staycation.
Cooking green bean casserole while the wife works then going down for dinner with my family.
Wow, lot of spouses working this year! Thanks to them for the commitment.

The clean up is definitely intense. Thankfully, we got 10 family members all staying in the same AirBNB so they have no choice but to stay and help clean up!

Will do. I may have already asked but everything OK for you after the hurricane? Heard the town was devastated.

We are doing well, thx for asking. Asheville has a looong road ahead of it to full recovery from the hurricane, but signs of progress and community resilience are showing everywhere. Our one local fish store survived, and when I was in a week few weeks ago had a stunning school of 68 angelfish a local aquarist had brought in.

I’m sorry to hear that but also grateful that the community will pull together and be stronger for it. Praying for everyone there.

Amazing school of angelfish. Glad they survived.

Catching up on a week's worth of posts while the turkey's in the oven.. 😁

My nephew came down from U of Michigan, we cook a couple things otherwise have ourselves a Traditional Trader Joe's Christmas + Costco pumpkin pie 💯💯💯
