I know this is only relevant to me but since January 1 we've had over 50 registration attempts from spammers. Thankfully, the system we have is catching all of them before we all start to see ads for male enhancements and cryptocurrency deals.

Who knew spammers were also planted aquarium fans??

Is it all automated or do you need another moderator to help with that issue and other things? (I would volunteer).

Thank you @*Ci*! It is automated, thank goodness. I just get alerted when the system rejects them.

I suspect spammers are only fans of activity…. They see activity and want in to have eyes on their pitch…

so, if spam attempts are up it might mean scapecrunch activity has passed a threshold..

So many small club forums have shut down so to spammers. Our own local club had to shut down the forums due to spam over taking the forum.

@Ed Wiser this is one of the reasons we have a local club section available to clubs. If they don't want to manage a forum and deal with spammers, they can simply create a private forum right here at ScapeCrunch. We do all the management for them. They focus on club content.
