Thank you! I am setting up a 50 gallon planted tank, its a "short" tank, 36"Lx20"Wx16"H. Specifically for lots of bottom dwellers, mainly corys, but also gobies. It is a high tech tank, actually I joined to help troubleshoot my yugang reactor lol. Also have a chihiros WRGB II Pro 80. And a custom built stand by me. Still in its ugly phase as I filled it up last night lol.
still figuring stuff out with plants like which to plant where lol (i replanted those floaty ones but then it became a muddy fog again).
my main issue right now, is this sand is insanely dusty. i rinsed it like 5+ times and its still super dusty, starting to regret choosing it lol (its super naturals sunset gold). im thinking of trying seachem clarity. im also using a fluval 407 so theres a good amount of flow.
IME, the sand will eventually settle but may take a few days depending on how fine it is. A flocculant like Clarity may help speed that up or it may cause your mechanical filter take some of that up.
