Hi! About myself? Well, been an fresh water aquarist since I was 13 and currently in my 40's. Still learning and experimenting every day. Last 20 years my main display tank is a custom built 600 liter. Got some 50 liter tanks to try stuff out. I'm not a (hard) scaper, but always interested how other people run tanks. I see myself as a plant grower. I did high tech a couple of years, too many downside for my likings. Last 10 years I try to keep it as simple as possible and discovering all key controls of a nice healthy growing planted tank.

@PeerUnk hey thanks for the introduction. We have an interesting thread on middle-energy tanks going that discusses a middle ground between high energy and low energy (low-tech). Might be of interest.

I've read that one yes, might reply on that one.
Got my first digital camera in 2003, so made enough since. My personal favorite (2013, just before quitting community tanks until 2020) of what I would call a dutch soft scape

But then again, I've grown most algae species in huge quantities as well. Some others might as well? This was 2008:
A current picture where I'm growing in some new plants. It's non-CO2, so takes a while:
Current focus is health, arrangement of plant groups will be next. I might add a hard scape element as well.
