This starts to feel like a family reunion, welcome @MichaelJ :)
Thanks @Yugang and @Mr.Shenanagins . Glad to finally have made the move to sign up and glad to see so many familiar fellow hobbyist around here. I have to familiarize myself with the forum and what’s going on around here. 😊 @Hufsa made some pretty specific promises in a recent email and still looking around for that

Cheers,
Michael

The debacle and power struggle at UKAPS continues.
It has been 3 weeks since the whistle was blown by Tim on financial transparency. Since then, no update on the financials whatsoever, and one may speculate what is going on. The "rogue" admin is out/ousted. Several threads have been removed. Tim got an IP block, and as bad as I feel for him, I feel a little better for myself knowing that I am not alone having experienced this.

Financials could be clarified within a few hours, so why not bring the transparency that many were asking for?

My personal speculation, for which I have no evidence, would be that UKAPS will be sold, to VerticalScope Inc or similar, and perhaps be integrated with TPT which is also owned by VerticalScope. The worst case scenario would be that no disclosure will ever be made on past UKAPS financials, i.e. where the money went to, nor on transaction details with a commercial forum owner. I hope I am wrong, but with all experience with UKAPS I would not count on it.

Hi @Yugang. Not to dismiss what you said but I don’t think these welcome threads should be used to pile on UKAPS situation. I was simply making a somewhat not so serious comment to justify Micheal coming to ScapeCrunch. :)

Welcome, Michael. Happy to have you here.

Welcome, Michael. Happy to have you here.
@MichaelJ is one of the best to have as a friend on the forum. Always helpful, inspiring, creative, constructive, and I believe @MichaelJ leads by example and actively builds a forum and friendships. When I got the ultimate "UKAPS experience", I mean ban, IP block, false narrative and deletion of hundreds of hours of work and dedication, @MichaelJ was one of the dearest friends actively supporting and helping in those challenging times. The best friends are with you when you need them. The most valuable forum members are more than just contributors, they support and help building . Thanks @MichaelJ for that, that's why I am so happy that you joined here. May others follow.

I’m with @Hanuman on this, and funnily enough I had a PM telling me not to diss a forum publicly when I had a signature informing others I was no longer active on that forum (purely for information so that folks shouldn’t expect a response from me) and yet here we are with another forum experiencing some real challenges being dissed in public.

I respect your opinion @hypnogogia, but just for clarification this is the post that triggered my response
The debacle and power struggle at UKAPS continues.

Is it a fair observation that after several hundreds of posts by UKAPS members on their platform, more than a month now, this is already quite public information?

The situation indeed is really sad, and I am with you (I've read your posts on UKAPS) and hope this will be resolved asap. Many, including myself, invested a lot in UKAPS and hope that there is a good future so that at least all these past contributions will remain available to the hobby.
