Looking for lids for the new 75.

I havent been all that enamored with the Versatops. The hinges start to degrade within a year and rarely last more than 2..

Anyone have the twinwall diy ones? Does algae intrude in between the two walls? Do you need toseal the open ends with silicone?

Do the twinwalls impact light intensity more than glass?

Algae will intrude if water gets between the two walls. I plan to put a u-channel on the open sides to prevent that. Twin walls light penetration is 83% while glass is I believe is around 90% so you will loose some light intensity through the twinwalls.

I had this guy on Ebay custom cut me 1/4" lexan/polycarbonate, with custom edge cutouts for an HOB filter and two light braces

Much denser and rigid than acrylic / plexiglass. Very light and it's thick enough not to bow at the 12" x 36" size I'm using.

One solid piece easy enough to manipulate for this size, love it so far. He was great to work with only complaint l he doesn't ease the edges I had to sand myself.
