No matter how old you get you can always learn something new.

In this case I just learned how to resize a picture within a post.

If you insert a picture as a full image in a post without resizing it it will look like this.

But if you insert the file then click on it you can drag the corners and resize it. Then it will look like this.

And you can go back to your old posts and edit them and resize the pictures.

I hope this helps as I was scratching my head trying to figure out why my posted pics were so large.

I'm still mostly just picking a photo size from flickr and using the link, but it's probably quicker to upload directy and adjust as you described.

Hi - thanks Gregg.

The resizing is automatic if you’re on mobile.

Always better to upload or attach rather than linking. If the site you’re linking from is down, then they won’t show here either.

My biggest pet peve on all these other forums  You go to read the post and all the pictures are gone. Usually becaue the image hosting site makes you pay to host said pics or the place no longer exists.

LOL been there done that!! What a pain to piece it all back together again.

Agree 100%. Learned the hard way on the previous plant forum - attach pics to the post and not use a link. Site did a big update and all links got erased (or something like that). Funny how a picture can be worth 1,000 words to a post (along with your 10-15 words), then suddenly the post means very little.
